Becky has studied and practiced many styles of yoga over the past decade. In the Ashtanga Vinyasa style, Becky has discovered her yoga home. She is honored to share the teachings of the Ashtanga with students at Taspen’s.
When she is not teaching yoga, Becky is likely to be hanging out with her kids, gardening, cooking or reading.
Instructor Becky Potter leads this is an invigorating, athletic practice that is steeped in tradition. No previous yoga experience is required. The sun salutation is at the heart of the practice, tying breath to movement and bringing vitality and mobility to every part of the body. Interwoven with the sun salutation, we explore a set sequence of poses that we return to in each class. From simple forward folds to complex arm balances and inversions, the goal in the practice is to create alignment in the body that allows comfort and ease. Along the way, students will have opportunities to sweat, to laugh, to stretch, to strengthen, to explore their limits, and to expand their boundaries.
