The Five Tibetan Rites is a practice of 5 postures with various benefits including increased energy, stress reduction, an enhanced sense of calm, increased strength and flexibility and an overall sense of wellbeing. These postures are similar to yoga from India but practiced with a "continuous sequence of movement" versus the static positions often practiced in Indian forms of yoga.
Peter Kelder first publicized the 2,500 year old practice of the Five Tibetan Rites in English in the 1939 publication entitled The Eye of Revelation.
Satori Yoga, a yoga practice focusing on the balance and alignment between the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies, focuses on the practice of the Five Tibetan Rites. Check out our Yoga Schedule for class times as well as our Satori Yoga Teacher Training beginning on Sunday November 1, 2015!
