Mantra: I Am Centered

There is a vortex of energy at the core of my being that is always at peace. I connect with this space to get centered in my body and aligned with my spirit. It's like coming home to a place I've never left.

You always have a choice about how you live your life. When you choose to be happy about being alive, no matter what challenges come your way, you can address life from a centered state of inner strength, joy, peace, and harmony. Obviously this is easier said than done. It is helpful, however, to remember that you are a human being, not a human doing. You always have control over your inner state by the way you use your energy.

ACTION STEPS

1)Affirm "I Am Centered" throughout the day while focusing on your heart center.
 
2)Practice breathing into your heart center and as you breathe out imagine sending love to others. This can be during conversation, in the check-out line or just passing by another human begin.
 
3)Stand barefoot on the earth and get grounded. Use this grounding exercise from our Good Morning Yoga series.
 
4)The heart chakra is the bridge between the lower three chakras and upper three chakras. This is the chakra you want to live from because it keeps you centered between the physical world and spiritual realm. You'll know you're living from your heart when you're being kind, loving and compassionate.
 
5)Start your day with hot lemon water to cleanse and create an alkaline state in your body. This will keep you centered in your natural state of health! You can add organic grade B maple syrup or organic raw honey to sweeten.
 
6)Try a NIA dance class as a fun way to exercise and feel more centered in your body.Here's the link to find classes at Studio B in Evergreen, CO. If you're not in Evergreen,click this link to find a class near you.
 
7)Being centered is living life from the inside out. Rather than allowing the outside world to dictate how you feel, connect to the peace that dwells within, so that no matter what is happening around you, you remain at ease.
 
8)Take the time to prepare healthy meals and snacks that really nourish your body.
